Job description

We are currently looking for an experienced Quarry Manager. The Quarry Manager will manage and coordinate staff, equipment, and resources, while adhering to all regulatory and environmental standards. The Quarry Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quarry operations, ensuring the safe and efficient extraction of materials while maximizing productivity and profitability.

Responsibilities

1. Operational Management:
   • Oversee daily quarry operations, including extraction, processing, and material handling.
   • Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to meet targets.
   • Monitor and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
   • Manage and maintain quarry equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
   • Coordinate with sales and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
2. Safety and Compliance:
   • Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
   • Develop and implement safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and address hazards.
   • Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize workplace incidents.
   • Manage and maintain all necessary permits and licenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Construction or related discipline (minimum).
• At least 10 years’ quarry management experience to qualify for this role.
• Possess key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex information.
• Responsive and capable of leadership in emergencies.
• Effective resource management within budget, timeframe, and client requirements.
