Job Description
  • Perform testing and analysis in accordance with standard/in-house methods and comply with QA/QC procedures.
  • Ensure timeliness, precision, and accuracy of analytical results to meet turnaround times.
  • Implement and maintain MS ISO/IEC 17025:2017, SAMM Policy, and Group Quality System effectively.
  • Adhere to group HSE safety procedures.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure information is not disclosed to third parties.
  • Maintain and calibrate analytical equipment and apparatus as per schedule.
  • Investigate and identify root causes of non-conformities or customer complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate seriously in proficiency testing programs to ensure the most accurate and precise results.
  • Train, supervise, and monitor lab technicians and junior staff on assigned test methods and procedures.
  • Keep all controlled quality procedures, test methods, and documents confidential and within SGS premises.
  • Practice good housekeeping and good laboratory practices.
  • Follow SGS Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, uphold safety behavior, and exercise necessary standards and processes at all times to ensure HSE compliance.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by your manager or senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field from a recognized university or college.
  • Minimum 1-4 years of relevant analytical laboratory experience; however, fresh graduates with the right attitude are also welcome.
