About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Sales Manager to join the dynamic team at Pecca Leather Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturer and retailer of premium leather goods. In this full-time position based in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and supporting the Sales Manager to achieve the company's ambitious growth targets.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Sales Manager in developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales goals

Overseeing a team of sales representatives and providing coaching and mentorship to help them reach their full potential

Analysing sales data and market trends to identify new business opportunities and make informed decisions

Building and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and potential customers

Collaborating cross-functionally with the marketing, operations and finance teams to ensure seamless customer experiences

Staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends to anticipate and address customer needs

Representing the company at trade shows, exhibitions and other industry events.

Develop the existing market and explore new business opportunities in dealership.

To assist in managing the respective section by initiating and monitoring sales activities to ensure monthly or weekly task are submitted by due date for Sales PIC.

To check sales forecast prepared by Sales PIC to Production planner in order to improve production lead time.

Leading respective section in preparation of Annual Sales Projection.

Manage the interaction between customer and the company in order to ensure that effective communication is taking place.

Submit regular reports on the progress of the respective section sales team.

Leading respective section Sales PIC to prepare annual sales projection & project pipelines.

Analyze market trend and come out with business plan proposal.

To add value to the sales team by continually developing their skills and creativeness pertaining to their job and responsibilities.

Able to cultivate team work, good business ethic to the team and develop good sales professional.

To check the quotation & business proposal prepared by Sales PIC.

Continuously conduct market research and competitor analysis to plan business strategies. To analyze & justify respective section OEM sales data.

To carry out any other duties as and when directed.

To comply with ISO/IATF 16949 requirements as well as legal and statutory requirement.

What we're looking for

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a sales, sales management or project management role, preferably within the retail or automotive related industry

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively motivate and lead a team

Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills to handle complex customer requirements

Proficient in analyzing sales data and using it to drive strategic decision-making

Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building long-lasting relationships

Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Automotive or a relevant field
