Job description

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Accounting and Finance.

Minimum 2-5 years of working experience or similar role is required for this position.

Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude, initiative, pro-active, self-driven, and able to work under pressure.

Candidate must be independent and able to work under minimal supervision.

Good language and communication skills (both written and spoken).

Familiarity with the Construction Industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle full set of accounts, statutory accounts, and oversee all related accounting functions.
  • Knowledge of SQL and MYOB Software is an added advantage.
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including payments, invoicing, credit notes, receipts, reconciliation to creditors' statements, etc.
  • Liaise with Quantity Surveyors regarding transaction history out of tender.
  • Match invoices with supporting documents and prepare payment vouchers and cheques promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and reports, and maintain a proper filing system for effective access.
  • Chase payments and record all payment transactions.
  • Review staff claims and payments.
  • Check EFT and JV accounts and liaise with license owners.
  • Liaise with banks, auditors, company secretaries, tax agents, suppliers, creditors, relevant authorities, etc.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned by management or superiors.
