A leading banking group in Malaysia is seeking a Relationship Manager to market corporate loans and craft tailored loan solutions for corporate clients. The role involves preparing credit proposals, ensuring compliance with regulations, and developing new borrowing relationships. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in non-retail banking and strong negotiation skills.

• Market corporate loans and ensure market competitiveness by structuring loans to meet the financial goals of the Bank while also aligning with the client's needs.
• Craft custom loan solutions and prepare term sheets tailored to the unique needs of corporate clients, ensuring the Bank's interests are protected.
• Prepare credit proposals, provide analytical support in submissions to relevant approving authorities, and ensure speedy turnaround times. This includes identifying pertinent credit-related issues, working out viable financing solutions for clients, conducting pre-sanction visits & interviews with loan applicants, and handling post-approval work processes.
• Ensure all transactions comply with applicable regulatory frameworks, guidelines, and the Group's policies and procedures.
• Monitor existing corporate portfolios and identify early warning triggers for potential credit deterioration.
• Closely monitor loan covenants and approval conditions to prevent breaches.
• Develop and originate new borrowing relationships, involving in-depth understanding of clients (Know Your Customer) and negotiation on key issues including facility structure, pricing, security arrangements, covenants, and terms and conditions.
• Liaise with Credit Support & Administration and Group Legal to ensure the timely issuance of Letters of Offer.
• Follow up on covenants, terms, and conditions imposed by the approving authority to ensure compliance and closure.
• Ensure timely submission of annual reviews.
• Ensure facilities are well utilized and accounts are well managed.
• Conduct regular channel checks on clients' reputation in the market.
• Conduct regular marketing calls on existing clients for annual reviews, soliciting credit and transaction banking opportunities, and early risk identification.
• Handle ad-hoc assignments as tasked by management.
