Job description

Job Descriptions:

  • Monitor all import and export activities across Mr. D.I.Y. worldwide, responsible for all matters related to shipping functions.
  • Collect, interpret and analyze various types of logistics data including:-
  1. Backlog deliveries
  2. Fulfilment metrics
  3. Shipping lead time and cost
  4. Reliability and cost effectiveness of 3PL
  • Identify shipping issues and implement solutions in a timely manner, and suggest solutions for shipping process optimization.
  • To ensure the import & export delivery process is continuous following the rules and procedures set by the Logistic department.
  • Assist in delivery planning for special commodities such as FDA, and CE on regulated items.
  • Supports the design and implementation of Logistical Solutions Works with other team members to develop alternative solutions.
  • Examine various documents such as costing files, invoices & other related shipping documents.
  • Any ad-hoc tasks to be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any related field, with minimum 2 years relevant working experience in global trading / Import & Export.
  • Good understanding of import & export procedures, Customs operation and HS codes knowledge
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to interact with different levels of people, detail-oriented, self-driven and flexible to change.
  • Ability to ‘think out of the box’ for problem-solving and ability to contribute ideas to address operational issues.
  • Able to speak and write well in both Mandarin and English, as the role requires communicating frequently with China logistics team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (familiar with intermediate skills such as Pivot Table, VLOOKUP) and PowerPoint.
