Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia seeks an experienced finance professional to manage month-end closing, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance and relevant experience, preferably with audit or group consolidation background.

Financial Consolidation Systems

Job description

Manage month-end closing and reporting processes for the Group, working closely with all subsidiaries to ensure timely and high-quality monthly financial reporting.

1. Consolidate and prepare monthly Group management performance reports (MPR) and other financial reports, ensuring timely submission and compliance with relevant group accounting policies, MFRSs, and other requirements.
2. Prepare quarterly financial results reports for Board approval and submission to Bursa Malaysia.
3. Primary user of financial consolidation systems – maintain data integrity and participate in system improvement/enhancement.
4. Prepare the company’s annual budget and business plan, and consolidate the Group’s annual budget.
5. Support maintenance and preparation of the company’s or subsidiaries’ financial statements.

2. Tax Matters

1. Prepare the company’s tax computations and filings, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

3. Audit & Policy Management

1. Liaise with auditors and assist in managing the audit process for the Company and Group.
2. Assist in establishing and updating policies, procedures, and manuals to improve work efficiency and processes.

4. Other Responsibilities

1. Perform ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

Job Requirements

1. Degree in Accounting/Finance or professional qualification (ACCA/ICAEW/CPA/CIMA), preferably a member of MIA.
2. 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally with audit or group consolidation background.
3. Experience with financial consolidation systems is an advantage.
