Job Description

• Develop/ analyze MFRS9 Financial Institution Macroeconomic Model and MFRS9 Loss Given Default models based on both internal and external data
• Perform annual review on the existing models such as MFRS9 Corporate Macroeconomic Model, Behavioural Lifetime and ASEAN Corporate Model
• Analyze the performance of Retail Application Scorecard after parallel-run and prepare for the formal launch of the new scorecard
• Document model development and model review results and prepare memo to seek management's approval
• Monitor macroeconomic data such as GDP, consumer price index, unemployment rate and propose reasonable projections from management's approval. submit the approved projections to RMD Reporting Team for ECL Computation
• Develop and perform annual review on model governance framework and other relevant guidelines and prepare memo for management/ board's approval
• Conduct training to users (e.g. Corporate Banking Dept, Personal Digital Banking Dept, Credit Admin Dept) on new model launches or as and when necessary as refresher courses
• Maintain the existing RORWA calculator and update the parameters (e.g. FTP and exchange rates) on quarterly basis
• Support on model related issues such as data extraction, update of Excel template and communication to loal users
• Address model related recommendations raised by model validators and auditors
• Perform UAT on the system implementation of credit models and scorecard
• Provide on-going user support on model related issues

The Successful Applicant

• Good understanding of Basel and IFRS regulations and credit products
• Analytical and independent thinker with strong written and verbal communication skills especially in explaining complex technical subjects in a simple/pragmatic manner to business and senior management.
• Strong computational skills, preferably in SAS, SQL, Python etc.
• More than 7 years of relevant experience in a related area
• Experience in risk analytics or credit risk management in wholesale portfolios
• Fluency in Mandarin, speak read and write
