About the job SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) Consultant

We are seeking a skilled SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) Consultant to develop and enhance modern SAP applications using the RAP framework. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ABAP on SAP HANA, focusing on building and extending enterprise applications using SAP's latest programming model for cloud and on-premises solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade applications using the SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) on S/4HANA and SAP BTP.
• Develop and enhance CDS views, business services, and service bindings in line with the RAP framework.
• Work with functional teams to understand business requirements and design RESTful APIs and services that meet these needs.
• Implement end-to-end solutions, including data modeling, business logic, and user interface components using Fiori elements and RAP.
• Optimize existing ABAP code and ensure adherence to best practices for performance on SAP HANA.
• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of RAP-based applications.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise on RAP development, including continuous improvements and future upgrades.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system architecture, configurations, and development guidelines.

Requirements:

• 5-8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong focus on the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and S/4HANA.
• Expertise in CDS views, ABAP-managed database procedures (AMDP), and OData services.
• Proficiency in developing modern SAP applications with SAP Fiori elements and UI5 integration.
• In-depth understanding of ABAP on HANA, performance tuning, and SAP HANA data modeling.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud development is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across functional and technical teams.
• SAP ABAP or HANA certification is a plus.
