Job summary
A leading company in the technology sector is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to develop and implement sourcing strategies for finished goods. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the Southeast Asia manufacturing landscape. This role involves collaboration with various teams and requires fluency in English and Mandarin, with a willingness to travel regionally.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of sourcing/procurement experience, preferably in finished goods.
- Strong understanding of Southeast Asia manufacturing and supplier landscape.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Southeast Asian languages is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies for finished goods that align with global procurement goals and business needs.
- Identify, evaluate, and manage a network of qualified suppliers in Southeast Asia to ensure capacity, cost competitiveness, quality, and delivery performance.
- Lead cost negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate closely with global sourcing, product development, quality, logistics, and planning teams.
- Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular supplier visits and audits to ensure compliance with company standards, ethical sourcing practices, and local regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, risks, and opportunities in the regional sourcing landscape.
- Support new product introductions and seasonal planning cycles with timely sourcing and onboarding of suppliers.
- Manage risks related to geopolitical, environmental, and supply chain disruptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of sourcing/procurement experience, preferably in finished goods (e.g., consumer products, apparel, electronics, etc.).
- Strong understanding of the Southeast Asia manufacturing and supplier landscape.
- Proven ability to drive cost savings and supplier performance improvements.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; proficiency in one or more Southeast Asian languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel regionally (up to 30–40%).
