  2. Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or equivalent certification is mandatory.

  1. Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
  2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  3. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  4. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced, and evolving startup environment.
  5. Agility and resilience to navigate financial and operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Business Planning

  1. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to ensure financial feasibility.
  2. Optimize cash flow management, capital allocation, and cost efficiency.
  3. Provide data-driven financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  4. Establish internal controls, risk management, and financial governance frameworks.

Cash Flow & Profitability Management

  1. Track and analyze cash flow, financial position, and profit & loss (P&L) statements to support business decision-making.
  2. Optimize profit or manage loss distribution effectively.

Cost Control & Project Budgeting

  1. Establish cost centers for each project to accurately track project expenses and financial performance.
  2. Provide financial forecasts based on project revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  3. Ensure cost optimization strategies are in place to improve overall efficiency.

Taxation & Incentive Optimization

  1. Assess tax implications of products, including SST applicability and income tax impact.
  2. Ensure correct SST treatment for customers and implement corporate tax planning to optimize tax efficiency.
  3. Legally minimize tax liability while ensuring compliance with income tax, SST tax, tax reliefs, and non-taxable goods regulations.
  4. Ensure accurate accounting data entry and compliance with tax regulations.
  5. For Pioneer Status companies, properly segregate income and expenses into Pioneer and Non-Pioneer categories.
  6. Stay updated on Malaysia’s latest tax incentives, reliefs, and government grants to maximize financial benefits.
