The Role

AMD is seeking a highly talented engineer to join our Server Platform Solution Engineering (SPSE) team as a Graduate Trainee. The role involves working on platform designs, validations, and solutions to help our customers succeed with AMD EPYC systems. This engineer will collaborate with validation teams and customers during critical issue escalations to ensure timely resolution aligned with product development or sustaining milestones. You will have the opportunity to learn about simulation, emulation, and validation during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases, contributing to the delivery of next-generation computing platforms that aim to make AMD's systems the highest performing in the world.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, emulate, validate according to specifications, and troubleshoot system failures.
• Work on setting up and enabling AMD Server Platform designs.
• Participate in defining current and next-generation products, addressing design and methodology challenges.
• Engage in projects involving design, simulation, emulation, validation, and customer communication.
• Test and validate server platform power and performance against feature specifications.
• Debug and brainstorm solutions to meet product feature requirements.
• Perform hardware and software validation activities daily.
• Simulate, emulate, debug, and validate features such as Device Power, Device Thermal, PCIe Gen5, DDR5, SATA, USB.

Preferred Experience

• Good communication skills.
• Self-starter capable of multitasking across projects.
• Knowledge of C++, Python, or other programming languages.

Academic Credentials

• Graduates in Electrical & Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
