Responsible for maximizing profits by developing sales strategies in new areas that match customer requirements and by promoting products, services, or ideas.
Responsibilities
- Developing business strategies for products and services and presenting proposals to target partners.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with stockists, retailers, and distributors, acting as a point of contact for inquiries and ensuring sales targets are met.
- Tracking and analyzing stockist performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Negotiating terms and conditions with stockists, including pricing, delivery schedules, and promotional activities.
- Addressing issues with stockists promptly and effectively. Preparing reports and presentations to communicate key findings and recommendations to management.
- Collaborating with departments such as Marketing, Sales, and Logistics to ensure smooth operations.
- Representing the company at industry events and trade shows.
- Ensuring stockists maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demands.
- Liaising with media outlets such as newspapers and broadcasters on business development matters.
- Undertaking assignments as Personal Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer.
- Performing other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superiors.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
