Job Summary:
The Regional Finance Controller oversees financial operations across Malaysia ,Singapore and Shanghai, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic alignment with corporate goals. This role manages financial reporting, budgeting, and risk mitigation while leading a regional finance team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with regional and corporate stakeholders to drive efficiency and support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
Oversee regional financial activities (accounting, AP/AR, payroll).
Prepare monthly/quarterly reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow).
Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to senior management.
Compliance & Audit:
Ensure adherence to GAAP/IFRS, tax laws, and internal policies.
Coordinate internal/external audits and implement recommendations.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
Monitor performance against targets and adjust strategies as needed.
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor regional finance staff, fostering professional growth.
Promote collaboration across departments (e.g., Operations, Sales).
Process Improvement:
Identify automation and efficiency opportunities in financial processes.
Implement best practices for scalability and accuracy.
Risk Management:
Assess financial risks (currency, market, operational) and develop mitigation plans. Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the finance liaison for regional executives and corporate teams.
Present financial results and strategies to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA/CPA preferred.
Experience:
8–10+ years in finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role. Regional/multi-site experience required.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics), advanced Excel, and data tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Industry Knowledge:
Preferred experience in Electrical industry
Other requirements:
Priority given to Malaysian Chinese or Singaporeans
