Job summary

A multinational organization specializing in yeast and bakery ingredients is seeking a motivated individual for a business development role in Balakong, Selangor. The successful candidate will assist distributors, track sales activities, and develop relationships with key customers to drive growth in the market.

• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin.

Job description

Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

1. Sales Growth: Assist distributors in driving sales efforts to increase market share and revenue within their territories.
2. Market Feedback: Stay informed about market trends and competitors to identify business opportunities.
3. Reporting: Track sales activities and provide regular updates to the line manager on progress and market insights.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with the product and marketing teams regarding technical support and marketing activation.
5. Others: Support the line manager and commercial director as required.
6. New Product Introduction: Identify and target prospective clients through current distributor outlets and work closely with distributor sales teams and the line manager to communicate the benefits and features of AB Mauri products.
7. Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers within the distributor's customer list.
8. Brand Awareness: Effectively communicate the benefits and features of our bakery ingredients to potential customers.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent from a recognized tertiary institution.
• At least 1 year of experience in business development; experience in the food industry is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, positive work attitude, high integrity, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in reading and writing in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred for effective communication with Mandarin-speaking clients.
