Job description

Govern, execute, and sustain technical engineering competency development as well as non-technical competency development – including leadership training – towards building a competent workforce.

Job Description

In your new role, you will:

  1. Perform training validation to assess whether trainers’ delivery and trainees’ comprehension meet expectations. Provide comprehensive summaries to trainees’ superiors after training and monitor trainees’ performance over the next six months.
  2. Oversee and drive annual competency assessments to ensure timely completion and gap closure. Proactively review and refine assessment checklists with managers as needed.
  3. Execute and follow up on Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) development plans and monitor their effectiveness. Plan and follow up on cascading training from SMEs to ensure targeted training hours are achieved throughout the year.
  4. Digitalize training materials to enhance understanding of machine operations.
  5. Oversee overall training costs, track expenses against targets, and ensure spending within the allocated budget. Ensure timely HRDF applications for each training session.
  6. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on training-related topics to deliver effective, tailored training solutions for each team.
Your Profile

You are best suited for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or relevant qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing company, with good industry knowledge and process flow understanding
  • Effective communication and people management skills across all levels
  • Proficient in collaborative teamwork to lead and execute training programs across MAL & BE sites
  • Strong planning skills and the ability to prioritize issues effectively
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and conflict management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and good video editing skills
