Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in troubleshooting and repairs of dormitory units.

• Perform defect repairs and submit reports to supervisors.

• Assist Maintenance Supervisor/Accommodation Executive in troubleshooting, repairs, and improvements of dormitory units and facilities. Examples include installing electrical outlets, switches, repairing wiring shorts, fans, and water leaks.
• Conduct regular walk-arounds in the dormitory to ensure amenities such as fans, washing machines, water pipes, fire-fighting equipment, etc., are in good condition.
• Assist in fire safety drills and familiarize workers with fire-fighting equipment, exits, and assembly points.
• Perform defect repairs reported by tenants and submit reports to Maintenance Supervisor or Accommodation Executive.
• Carry out preventive maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor/Accommodation Executive.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the maintenance store and facilities.
• Responsible for maintenance equipment and tools.
• Assist in monitoring maintenance inventories.
• Perform any other maintenance duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor/Accommodation Executive.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
• Attend safety and health training organized by the company.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks within deadlines.
• Have basic knowledge of using maintenance software or mobile apps to report and track work.
• Quickly identify problems and find effective solutions.

Qualifications:

• Min. Secondary School / SPM / Certificate

Skills:

• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and painting
• Able to write and converse in Malay
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team

Experience:

• 1-2 years of hands-on general maintenance experience (e.g., plumbing, electrical, painting) preferred, with proficiency in at least one major area.
