Job Summary

Supports the day-to-day execution of general ledger impacted processes, including support to clients as they work with and understand these processes. Performs accounting functions specifically in the areas of account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience: 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or related major; no work experience required.

Core Work Activities

1. Managing Work, Projects, and Policies: Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws related to fraud and collection procedures. Generates accurate reports and analyzes information to resolve issues. Balances credit card ledgers and verifies contracts for groups.
2. Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals: Achieves and exceeds performance, budget, and team goals. Submits reports timely, ensures accurate documentation of profits and losses, monitors taxes, and maintains strong internal controls. Completes period-end functions and advises on accounting policies.
3. Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of relevant issues, systems, and procedures. Keeps up-to-date with technical knowledge and uses computer systems effectively. Ensures compliance with laws and standards.
4. Leading Accounting Teams: Uses interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and influence others. Delegates tasks, manages a culturally diverse environment, and oversees customer service and employee satisfaction.
5. Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities: Interviews, trains, appraises, and manages employee performance. Ensures safety, monitors attendance, and supports employee development. Conducts performance appraisals.
6. Additional Responsibilities: Provides information to stakeholders, demonstrates integrity, manages conflicts, communicates effectively, and organizes tasks efficiently. Makes collections calls if necessary.
