Job description

Process Engineer (Based in Kulai, Johor)

We are seeking suitable candidates to apply for the position of Process Engineer in our convenient, team-oriented environment in Kulai, Johor.

You will play an important role by:

• Leading and managing a team
• Developing necessary technical competencies and equipment capabilities
• Establishing plans and strategies
• Managing preventive maintenance and calibration
• Providing guidance and training to the team
• Ensuring smooth startup of new equipment
• Establishing all equipment specifications, troubleshooting, and PM procedures
• Liaising with equipment vendors and spare parts suppliers
• Managing equipment servicing contracts with suppliers
• Driving the team to participate in continuous improvement projects
• Analyzing and troubleshooting highly automated machines
• Collaborating with internal and external partners and institutes
• Applying systematic methods (e.g., 8D, DOE, FMEA, SPC, Fishbone Diagram, Trend Chart) and tools to enhance results interpretation, including proper documentation
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and standards
• Performing any other reasonable tasks assigned by superiors or management

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

• A degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Industrial/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in equipment, maintenance, or tooling engineering (an added advantage)
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Inkjet knowledge (advantage)
• Experience with AB servo motors, AB drives, pneumatics, AB PLC, Omron
• Experience with PLC, Epson Robot, Island View, Panel View software (advantage)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with good knowledge of Cpk and statistics using engineering tools
• Good leadership, presentation, communication, and team-building skills
• Self-motivated, hands-on, and a good team player
• Ability to work under pressure
