Qualifications

  • More than 3 years in B2B sales/business development within freight forwarding, 3PL, or contract logistics.
  • Proven success in closing deals with mid-large enterprises.
  • Deep knowledge of logistics processes (Incoterms, customs, cross-border regulations).

About Our Client:

A leading logistics provider specializing in end-to-end supply chain solutions, including air/ocean freight, warehousing, distribution, and customized 3PL/4PL services for various industries.

Role Overview:

Our client seeks a strategic and driven Business Development Manager to expand their footprint in the freight forwarding and contract logistics sectors. The ideal candidate will leverage industry relationships, market insights, and solution-selling expertise to acquire new clients and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Growth:

Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities in freight forwarding (air, ocean, road) and contract logistics (warehousing, e-fulfillment, last-mile, etc.).

Achieve/exceed annual sales targets through proactive pipeline management.

Client Acquisition & Retention:

Build relationships with shippers, importers/exporters, manufacturers, and e-commerce businesses.

Conduct consultative needs assessments to design tailored logistics solutions

Market Strategy:

Analyze industry trends, competitor activity, and pricing to position the company competitively.

Focus on high-growth verticals (e.g., automotive, healthcare, retail, industrial).

Collaboration & Execution:

Work closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.

Lead RFP/tender responses and contract negotiations.

Brand Ambassadorship:

Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events.

Promote digital tools (tracking, analytics) and value-added services.

Qualifications & experience:

  • More than 3 years in B2B sales/business development within freight forwarding, 3PL, or contract logistics.
  • Proven success in closing deals with mid-large enterprises
  • Deep knowledge of logistics processes (Incoterms, customs, cross-border regulations).
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to articulate ROI-driven solutions.
