Position Overview:

The Associate Production Planner conducts production planning and related administrative work for production in Insulet’s first Malaysia manufacturing facility. Supports the Production Planner to execute established inventory strategies to ensure component and product supply across the operation. Maintains manufacturing material and finished goods levels to achieve high service levels within financial and operational targets. Serves as the key user for material management and related modules for inventory management and movement within the production floor. Works closely with the Material Planner and supply chain group. Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD) is an innovative medical device company dedicated to making the lives of people with diabetes easier. Through its OmniPod Insulin Management System, Insulet seeks to expand the use of insulin pump therapy among people with insulin-dependent diabetes. Insulet's Delivery Systems business also partners with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to tailor the OmniPod technology platform for the delivery of subcutaneous drugs across multiple therapeutic areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Supports Production Planner to develop, maintain, and communicate a weekly production schedule for each production line to meet customer service and inventory objectives.
  • Completes and maintains daily operational and financial reports, including scrap and volume data.
  • Coordinates with S&OP Planning to maintain an up-to-date production forecast supporting company objectives.
  • Coordinates the production schedule to ensure all Kanbans are adequately stocked and meet schedule requirements.
  • Uses SAP, MES, Excel, and other software to prepare production reports for daily reporting.
  • Ensures quality and production data are recorded accurately and timely with the Production Administrator and Team Lead.
  • Provides schedule revisions as necessary, considering material, machine, and headcount impacts.
  • Participates in raw material and WIP inventory cycle counts, working with Supply Chain leadership to reconcile inventory and identify variances.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, Business, Finance, or related field; operations concentration preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Planner, preferably in a Medical Device Environment.
  • Professional certification is a plus.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Experience with SAP software preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Cooperative, team-oriented, and positive attitude.
  • Strong service orientation.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multilingual fluency preferred (English, Malay).
