The Interior Designer is responsible for designing concept stores for all brands under MR DIY, including plans, designs, and coordinates the creation or renovation of spaces, making them both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities:

Space Planning

• Analyse and plan the layout of interior spaces to optimize functionality and flow.
• Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings to visualize the design.

Design Concept Development

• Develop design concepts that meet the company needs and preferences.
• Consider factors such as lighting, color schemes, materials, and furniture selection.

Project Management

• Coordinate and manage the design project from concept to completion.
• Work with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure the design is executed correctly.

Material and Product Selection

• Select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the design concept and client’s budget.
• Source and procure products, ensuring they meet quality and sustainability standards.

Budget Management

• Prepare cost estimates and manage the project budget.
• Ensure the project stays within financial constraints while achieving the desired design outcome.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals for the project.

Required Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or a related field is required.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to create detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
• Strong visualization skills to conceptualize and communicate design ideas.
• Effective collaboration skills for working with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the design and construction process.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets.
• Understanding of local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
