Job description

Position Summary

The role of Senior Business Analyst is of crucial importance to Allianz Technology. The holder of this key role is responsible for providing a high-level interface between our international clients, business leaders, and team leaders on the ground responsible for delivering complex IT solutions. The core purpose of the Business Analyst is to analyze and validate software requirements, ensuring stakeholder needs are met, and to author comprehensive software requirements documents that bridge stakeholder needs with technical implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Communicating software specifications clearly to Development teams, QA teams, Product Owners, and other stakeholders.
  2. Providing detailed business and technical documentation (SRS, BRD, User Stories) and functional designs (workflow, mockups, reports).
  3. Collaborating with QA teams to develop test cases that capture business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  4. Working with Project Management to ensure development aligns with scope and timelines.
  5. Developing and maintaining reports and dashboards to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
  6. Understanding reporting requirements and translating them into technical specifications with cross-functional teams.
  7. Analyzing datasets to extract insights, identify trends, and detect anomalies.
  8. Performing data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  9. Providing ad-hoc analysis and reporting support as needed.
  10. Assisting in developing and implementing data governance and reporting standards.
  11. Seeking continuous improvement opportunities for reporting processes and tools.

Job Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst with software development, management, design, implementation, system analysis, or support.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer and Information Science, Business Studies, or Management.
  • Proficiency in Data Analysis tools such as Java, SQL, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting software.
  • Knowledge of data governance and best practices in data management.
