Job Description

Responsible for the development and performance of all marketing and sales activities in the assigned market.

Maintain and develop a computerized customer and prospect database.

Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base within the marketing area.

Personality, Skills, and Knowledge Required
  • Understanding of company operations, products, services, laboratory facilities, and capabilities.
  • Strong business and sales skills related to laboratory testing and analysis consultancy.
  • Background knowledge of sampling equipment and devices used in projects and laboratories.
  • Familiarity with relevant local laws, regulations, and ISO/IEC 17025 clauses 4.4, 4.7, & 4.8.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, responsible, with good communication and supervisory skills.
Scope of Duties
  • Plan, organize, and control department activities such as costing, quotations, and tenders.
  • Resource and manpower planning to maximize utilization and meet sales targets.
  • Develop and coordinate action plans to penetrate new markets.
  • Set targets for oneself and sales team members.
  • Supervise, motivate, and monitor sales team performance.
  • Provide feedback to senior management on performance.
  • Organize market research, competitor, and customer surveys.
  • Promote company products and testing services to new customers.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities.
  • Implement marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Maintain customer databases and record interactions, inquiries, comments, and complaints.
  • Evaluate customer feedback and resolve complaints effectively.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to meet customer needs and inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance customer experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by top management.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Chemistry or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in related industries.
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Dynamic, organized, and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Team player, resourceful, and able to work under pressure.
  • Preferably available on short notice.
  • Position based in Selangor.
