Our Client, with an established history of providing global logistics execution & supply chain services platform, providing air and sea freight, road freight and contract logistics.

The Challenges

  1. Hunt, win and acquire new business and customers for the organization.
  2. Lead the engagement and grow assigned customers in country.
  3. Maintain positive and close relationships with all assigned customers.
  4. Lead and prepare customer quotations and proposals.
  5. Meet targets and/or increase the organization's revenue, volumes and gross profit.
  6. Execute business development strategies and tactics.
  7. Assist management and leadership in the formulation of sales planning, tactics and strategies when required.
  8. Interact with local and regional product teams (including Air, Ocean and others) on securing the best rates in the market for customer proposal purposes.
  9. Manage and analyze the performance of owned customers, identify the need for action and execute these actions.
  10. Support and/or enable the growth of assigned accounts regionally or globally if required.
  11. Work collaboratively with leadership & related stakeholders to implement new & existing sales initiatives.
  12. Work on tenders/RFQs/Bids if required.
  13. Positive internal stakeholder relationship management - Tech, Product, CS, Operations & others.
  14. Contribute ideas on process improvements & implementation of related improvements.
  15. Execute and manage all other jobs as assigned by immediate and dotted line manager.


What It Takes

  1. Degree / Diploma in Business Administration or Sales & Marketing.
  2. Min. five years customer facing sales experience of which three years in a sales management capacity in a freight forwarding, shipping, Logistics or Supply Chain environment is a MUST.
  3. Good records in execution of successful sales development strategies.
  4. Working knowledge in Freight Forwarding and/or logistics related operations and selling process.
  5. Proactive, independent and able to multi-task and work in a matrix reporting environment.
  6. Strong customer focus and service ethics.
  7. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications.
  8. Good interpersonal skills, accountable, initiative and willingness to learn.
  9. Good consultative sales techniques and well-developed negotiation skills.
  10. Possess a high level of honesty, integrity, and ethics.
  11. Good team player with positive working attitude.
  12. Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly growing and dynamic changing environment.
  13. Good time management with ability to prioritise and work within timelines.
  14. Strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
  15. A good team player.
