Job Description

1. Part of the designated technical teams to develop, implement, maintain and support application systems / IT solutions (local and regional) under Risk Management for the designated applications.
2. Planning and managing IT project tasks / deliverables to meet the business strategic plan (incl. business transformation, business growth, operational efficiency, etc.) and compliance requirements as well IT-owned initiatives.

Accountability

1. Ensure system high availability and meet SLA.
2. Ensure the smooth implementation of projects (new or enhancements) on time and within budget.
3. Ensure system solution/design meets user specifications and business objectives.
4. Ensure timely resolution of application problems.
5. Ensure compliance with IT standards/policies, QM SDLC procedures, and Audit requirements.

Supporting Activities

1. Monitor overall system performance and availability, charting/planning appropriate action whenever issues arise.
2. Research on system performance improvements.
3. Constant liaison with the appropriate party within IT regarding project SDLC, etc.
4. Liaison with business counterpart for any concerns that are raised.
5. Monitor team progress and provide regular updates from team members.
6. Provide regular updates to Unit Head/IT PM on progress.
7. Enhance understanding of users' business operations, processes, and objectives.
8. Mitigate technical constraints and recommend alternative workarounds for user considerations.
9. Promptly assign the most appropriate technical resource to analyze and resolve problems.
10. Mitigate the impact of problems and execute quick recovery plans.
11. Prompt escalation of problems if necessary.
12. Review requirements with QM, IT Security, and Audit.
13. Mitigate risk and recommend alternative workaround solutions/controls to address non-compliance items for consideration.
14. Ensure the system supported is always available according to agreed SLA.
15. Plan appropriately for resources/growth when system performance exceeds established thresholds.
16. Improve system performance by tweaking related parameters.
17. Ensure project cutover is smooth and not delayed due to incomplete or non-compliance with SDLC/Audit/Compliance/Governance teams' requirements.
18. Provide weekly project progress reporting status that is timely updated.
19. Obtain buy-ins from business by providing sufficient info for them to make decisions.
20. Maintain minimal turnaround time to resolve problems within agreed SLAs.
21. Keep the business informed so that system recovery is smooth.
22. Management can help to step in to get certain things done if the working level is unable to do so.
23. Ensure all required deliverables/documentations comply with SDLC, IT Security & Audit requirements.
24. Early risk mitigation ensures no delays or show stoppers when the project is ready.
25. Achieve high quality of the system in terms of availability and meeting the agreed service levels.
26. Manage, plan, and coordinate delivery of a high volume of project tasks including deliverables from other IT teams.
27. Supervise the technical team, managing work assignments in delivering quality output and meeting project deadlines.
28. Attend to user requests, planning for system enhancement, deployment, performance, and problem resolution activities, and be responsive to the needs and meeting user demands.

Education

- At least tertiary level, preference in Information Technology (IT) discipline.

Key Experience

- Minimum 3 years experience in application development, planning, testing, and integrating Business and IT solutions including Microsoft Windows/Solaris/Redhat/UNIX, Apache Tomcat/Oracle HTTPS/Oracle Weblogic/JAVA/Software Control Management tools/Shell Scripting/Oracle database/SQL/ZENA automation/FTP, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Warehouse, Customer Due Diligence, Name Screening, KYC.

- Knowledge and experience in IT application architecture, design, and development.

- Understanding of the IT solution discipline, processes, and concepts.

- Technical aptitude, basic knowledge, and experience across application, information technology, and process domains.

- Basic understanding of project management processes and methodologies including common roles and responsibilities.
