Job Purpose

The IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for ensuring the organization’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity measures are robust, secure, and aligned with industry standards to support smooth business operations. This role involves managing and optimizing servers and network infrastructure, implementing cybersecurity frameworks, and leading the IT Infrastructure and Technical Services Professional Support (SPS) teams. The manager will also support the CIO in strategic planning, infrastructure upgrades, and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure: Ensure high availability of hardware and services, including data centers, servers, networking, storage, backup, and recovery systems, supporting all locations and departments.
2. Review and enhance IT assets: Regularly analyze and upgrade servers, networks, and workstations to meet performance, compatibility, and security standards, ensuring compliance with policies and industry requirements.
3. Develop cybersecurity protocols: Establish frameworks to prevent threats, lead monitoring initiatives, analyze logs, and respond proactively to suspicious activities. Conduct root cause analysis and implement remedies.
4. Establish IT policies: Collaborate with CIO to develop policies on infrastructure and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance and governance.
5. Manage SLAs and team performance: Maintain SLAs for incident management and continually improve team response and resolution times.
6. Hardware refresh and upgrades: Recommend and lead technology upgrades to prevent obsolescence and enhance security and performance.
7. Asset management: Oversee hardware inventory, lifecycle, and disposal, ensuring accurate records and optimal utilization.
8. Coordinate IT projects: Act as liaison with departments for infrastructure projects, communicating technical needs and ensuring smooth execution.
9. Build and develop team: Foster a skilled, knowledgeable team through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Advanced certifications (CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA, CCNA) preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cybersecurity, preferably within large organizations.
• Proficiency in network, server management, cybersecurity frameworks, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
• For West Malaysian candidates open to relocation – a fixed-term contract of under 2 years (renewable).
• For Sarawakian candidates – permanent employment.
