Job description

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resource Executive to join our team in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the end-to-end employee lifecycle, handling recruitment, work pass applications, and other essential HR functions. This role will report directly to the HR Director based in Singapore and requires a candidate with at least 3-4 years of HR experience, a solid understanding of Malaysian labour laws, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, from recruitment to onboarding, performance management, employee development, and offboarding.
  • Recruitment: Manage recruitment processes, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process.
  • Employment Letter Drafting: Prepare and issue employment contracts, offer letters, and other HR-related documentation in compliance with company policies and Malaysian labour laws.
  • Work Pass Application: Manage the application and renewal process for work passes for foreign employees.
  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing advice on HR-related issues, policies, and procedures.
  • Compliance & Labor Laws: Ensure adherence to local labour laws and statutory requirements, staying updated on any changes in employment regulations in Malaysia.
  • HR Administrative Support: Provide administrative support in various HR tasks, including maintaining employee records and updating HR databases.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in HR, with a strong understanding of Malaysian labor laws.
  • Proven experience in handling end-to-end HR functions, including recruitment and employee relations.
  • Familiarity with the engineering sector is an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin so as to liaise with our counterparts in China.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
