Job Duties
  1. Under direct supervision, plan sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management strategies at the plant level.
  2. Comply with and execute Category Management strategies in accordance with policies and procedures.
  3. Issue purchase orders based on material requirements established by manufacturing, field operations, or projects. Implement agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under Category Management.
  4. Create requests for quotations (RFQ) and organize competitive bidding processes to obtain the best quality, delivery, and price for goods and services.
  5. Assess supplier performance; ensure job tasks are performed correctly as they impact cost containment, efficiency, profitability, or operations.
  6. Possess an undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or related discipline.
  7. Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a production environment.
  8. Advanced procurement certifications (e.g., CPM) are preferred; knowledge of Purchase to Pay processes is desirable.
