Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product that helps the organization reach its strategic goals.

Focus on ingesting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets.

Create scalable, high-performance web services for tracking data.

Translate complex technical and functional requirements into detailed designs.

Investigate alternatives for data storing and processing to ensure implementation of the most streamlined solutions.

Serve as a mentor for junior staff members by conducting technical training sessions and reviewing project outputs.

Key responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Consults with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues and recommends advanced programming solutions.

Accountable for all phases of the development process: analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.

Provides user and operational support on applications to business users.

Solves/works complex problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards; performs root cause analyses.

Engages in post-implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.

Provides a sound understanding of Big Data app development concepts and principles and knowledge of concepts and principles in other technology areas.

Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.

Directly impacts the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others.

Impacts own team and closely related work teams. Exhibits sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills to exchange complex information.

Successful candidate will have experience in:

Gathering of Requirements from various source systems and business users.

Communicating with the business users to understand business requirements clearly.

Conducting meetings with the source system IT SME to understand the source system elements.

Providing support to other developers in accurately mapping source attributes into the Teradata Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM) and in interpreting business requirements.

Working closely with the Data Modeler in enhancing the FSLDM. Developing scripts for loading data into the base tables in EDW.

Solid understanding of relational databases.

Previous experience in creating Source to Target Mapping Data documentation.

Develop understanding of data models of various source systems and their relationships. Experience in writing Design Documents, System Administration Documents, Test Plans & Test Scenarios/Test Cases, and documenting test results.

Interacting with Users, Documenting business requirements, Performing Data Analysis, Data Profiling, and Developing Design Specifications.

Jobholder Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
