Functional (Job Responsibilities)
- Analyze and manage risk management issues by reviewing and embedding them into the risks and control self-assessment for the branch network.
- Conduct desktop (for unreachable branches) and/or onsite branch reviews, including independent cash counts of branches on a quarterly basis.
- Perform and validate the Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) at branches according to the site visit schedule.
- Ensure timely reporting and provide recommendations as required by management.
- Collaborate with Branch Operations Support, Group Compliance, Group Risk Management, PFS Compliance, Branches, and RMOs to plan, design, and implement an overall risk and control self-assessment process for the branches.
- Periodically update the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) document as new risks are identified, lapses are detected, or guidelines are updated.
- Govern and take ownership of the branch's Risk and Control Self-Assessment document.
- Ensure good corporate governance involving operations risk and control reporting by branches and RMOs to relevant departments, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Review, update, and formulate standard operating processes and policies as needed.
- Provide support and education to staff to cultivate risk awareness.
- Ensure branches adhere to standard operating processes and procedures on operational regulatory compliance.
- Maintain regular communication with branches, including BM & CSOM, RMO, RCM, Branch Operations Support, Group Compliance, PFS Compliance, Group Risk Management, and other support units, including conducting regular training updates.
- Undertake other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance or a recognized professional qualification in a related field, with relevant work experience.
Experience/Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the financial sector, preferably with experience in branch operations.
- Familiarity with operational and sales regulatory compliance.
