Job Description
  1. Perform claims assessment and approval on all claims based on authority limit for the entire team. Ensure all claims are assessed in accordance with SOP within the TAT for the claim process by the team. Be accountable for team efficiency and effectiveness performance on TAT and productivity levels set.
  2. Assist team members in assessing complicated claim cases and provide continuous technical advice and motivation. Ensure team members assess all complicated cases within the agreed timeline and that penders are attended to within SOP and the agreed timeline.
  3. Attend product and technical training sessions, and encourage team members to participate to ensure the team acquires and improves the required job and technical knowledge.
  4. Ensure the section/unit complies with all regulatory (internal and external) and corporate requirements. Work closely with Risk, Compliance, Shariah, Actuarial, and other operational departments.
  5. Coach the team to deliver excellent service, reducing complaints related to claim matters across all touchpoints. Maintain a sense of urgency in handling requests and deliverables, including ad hoc requests.
  6. Support peers, managers, and HOD in managing daily operational efficiency, such as distributing worklists and assisting in handling tasks in the absence of peers, immediate managers, and HOD.
Experience & Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in claims handling.
  3. Experience in performing claims assessment and approval based on authority limits.
  4. Experience in ensuring team efficiency and effectiveness in claims processing.
  5. Strong technical and analytical skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, brokers, and senior management.
