Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out necessary inspections & monitoring to check for compliance with the requirements of EMP, EIA & EMR, established procedures & any other requirements from the authorities;
  • Identify potential sources of pollution & propose appropriate mitigation plans & supervise corrective measures to take;
  • Investigate any environmental incident/accident if there is any occurrence;
  • Record daily reports on environmental issues;
  • Keep abreast of all current & new legislation, code of practice pertaining to environmental activities;
  • Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management & recycling programs;
  • Ensure all scheduled waste management is in accordance with requirements;
  • Coordinate & facilitate with relevant authorities who have jurisdiction on environmental compliance to DOE, NREB;
  • Documentation for ISO 14001.

Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Environmental/Health Safety) or equivalent;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (English and Bahasa Malaysia both verbal and written);
  • Familiar with Environmental Management System (EMS), ISO 14001:2015 & Scheduled Waste Management;
  • Possess a Competent CePSWaM registered with DOE is an added advantage.
