Job responsibilities:
- Liaise and coordinate with internal EM engineering team, consultants, suppliers to understand, establish, review, validate, and issue project specifications (M&E equipment, systems, infrastructure, structural & civil works), capital expenditures, operations expenditures, and performance guarantees; liaise with customers and support presentations to customers.
- Support coordination with Malaysian Authorities, utilities, and Government Agencies for project incentives application/coordination, inspections, infrastructure and project authorizations, licensing, and general project implementation coordination.
- Liaise, coordinate, and support evaluation & negotiation with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to match technical-financial, health-safety, quality, capital expenditures, and profitability requirements.
- If required, coordinate and support liaison with Consultants for bid tendering, bid evaluation, and contractor/equipment supplier selection.
- Work closely with Business Development and Energy Management teams throughout the project lifecycle, from preliminary audits to contract signing and project kick-off.
- Plan the project kick-off, coordinate with engineering and contractors, and support the definition of health & safety, quality, budget, planning, and performance control plans.
- Coordinate, monitor, and control project execution quality, HSE, QA/QC compliance; perform site reviews, issue progress reports, identify risks and deviations, and ensure adherence to specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage project testing, commissioning, and handover procedures, ensuring delivery of project performances and training on safety, O&M, and documentation for operations teams.
- At each project's end, review to identify best practices and areas for improvement in project quality and performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field.
- 3-5 years of experience in project and technical team coordination or supervision, with hands-on experience in energy or utilities systems.
- Collaborative, flexible, adaptable to dynamic environments, with good organizational and time-management skills.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers is advantageous. Computer literacy in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Experience with MS Project, Primavera, or other project management software is a plus.
- Valid Class D driving license and willingness to travel within Malaysia.
