Senior Account Executive/Account Executive (Full Set)

About the role
Sing Mah Marketing Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Accounts Manager/Executive (Full Set) to join our SMM team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cash management, month-end and year-end closings
2. Prepare and analyse financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
3. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
4. Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate records
5. Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
6. Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and support business decision-making
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
8. Monthly submission of Profit & Loss Report
9. Supervise and train junior accounting staff, if applicable
10. Handle Audit and Tax queries, providing information as requested by external auditors
11. Assist in all financial-related matters and any ad hoc projects

What we're looking for

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
• At least 3-6 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations
• Proficient in using accounting software (Auto Count) and MS Office applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
