A leading company in Malaysia is seeking an Assistant Manager for shipping and logistics. The role involves handling customs clearance, liaising with port authorities, and ensuring efficient operations. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in shipping and logistics management, along with at least three years of relevant experience. Strong knowledge of customs procedures and effective communication skills are essential.

• Handle all inward and outward clearance.
• Assist in import and export documentation & submission of statutory requirements.
• Liaise with port authorities, customs, and operation movement.
• Ensure jobs are carried out efficiently through close monitoring and follow-up with declaration section, loading section, and shipping agents.
• Execute operational plans in accordance with warehouse standards, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare necessary shipment documentation and communicate information with management regarding order initiation, receiving, distribution, and storage.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum SPM/STPM or Diploma/Degree in shipping and logistics management.
• Knowledgeable in port management and customs clearance formalities and procedures.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar position or equivalent.
• Possess a K.E.K certificate is compulsory.
• Proper understanding of Malaysia Customs Act, with the ability to interpret HS codes accurately and timely for customs and client satisfaction.
• Mandatory knowledge in the use of declaration systems/OGA system.
