Job description

Take responsibility for the finance and accounting performance, including monthly closing, ensuring timely reporting while respecting deadlines.

Review the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports accurately and in accordance with statutory requirements.

Coordinate interim and final audits with external auditors.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, consultants, and other relevant authorities to ensure compliance with financial and legislative regulations.

Manage banking relationships, including account opening, verifying and approving payments for company expenses and loan disbursements.

Prepare tax computations, Zakat, tax estimates, and ensure timely tax compliance in accordance with relevant legislation.

Support ongoing review, implementation, and monitoring of financial policies and procedures, incorporating internal controls and complying with MFRS and company policies.

Provide analytical support to evaluate and improve business performance.

Supervise and guide Finance & Accounting staff.

Perform other tasks as assigned by the direct supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/ICAEW/MICPA/MIA).
• Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet tight deadlines.
• High integrity and commitment to confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Fluent in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Experience in audit firms or industries such as hire purchase, leasing, or credit is an added advantage.
