Purpose of Position To manage an effective People function to meet the present and future requirements of the organisation. Key Accountabilities
- Handle employee relations, disciplinary issues, and counseling.
- Manage employee medical benefits.
- Assist with industrial relations matters, including attending conciliation meetings.
- Conduct exit interviews as needed.
- Manage attendance reports (Annual Leave, Medical Leave, Hospitalization, AWOL, Unpaid Leave, etc.).
- Provide advice on labor laws and government/legal requirements.
- Liaise with government authorities and statutory bodies on HR matters.
- Collaborate with relevant departments on Ethics & Compliance and employee grievances procedures.
- Support and handle matters related to Ethics & Compliance, including the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Conduct Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIA) and ensure compliance with human rights standards.
- Promote industrial harmony and manage the Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) at all sites.
- Support all sites on ER and IR matters.
- Ensure compliance with Medical Devices - Quality Management System (ISO 13485), FDA Quality System Regulation (21 CFR Part 820), MHLW Ministerial Ordinance No. 169, Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), and Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001).
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and continuously train staff on relevant requirements of the above standards.
- Employee Relations (ER): Handle employee grievances, conduct investigations into workplace issues, and ensure fair treatment of employees. Foster a trusted work environment by addressing and resolving conflicts and inappropriate conduct.
- Industrial Relations (IR): Manage relationships with labor unions, negotiate collective bargaining agreements, and resolve disputes. Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations and maintain harmonious labor relations.
- Develop and Implement Engagement Strategies: Create and execute programs aimed at improving employee engagement and retention.
- Conduct Surveys and Gather Feedback: Regularly assess employee satisfaction through surveys and feedback mechanisms.
- Provide Training and Coaching: Support managers in enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement through training and coaching.
- Monitor Engagement Metrics: Track and analyze engagement data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Promote Wellbeing: Implement programs that support physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of employees.
- Develop Wellbeing Policies: Create and enforce policies that promote a healthy work-life balance and support employee wellbeing.
- Coordinate Health and Wellness Programs: Organize initiatives such as fitness challenges, mental health workshops, and stress management sessions.

- Education: bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and proficiency in employee engagement tools and metrics.
