Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Finance professional to manage all accounting activities. The role involves preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with the Hong Kong Finance team for reporting. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Accounting and at least 4 years of relevant experience, particularly in manufacturing. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office are essential.

Job description

Take full responsibility for all Finance and Accounting activity in Malaysia. Handle full spectrum of accounting functions.

Work with Hong Kong Finance team to prepare monthly closing, group consolidation, financial reports and analysis.

Maintain compliance with statutory regulation and group policies. Achieve accurate and timely reporting to local regulatory bodies (Financial reporting, Tax reporting and Statutory/Regulatory reporting).

Manage and execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, adjustments, and accruals to support accurate financial reporting.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reporting documents by ensuring that the general ledger accounts are accurately recorded and in compliance with the accounting standards.

Prepare SST filing and ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., SST, corporate tax, income tax & e-invoice).

Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

Liaise with banks, external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.

Any other task assigned by Management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

A degree in Accounting/Accountancy or CPA/ACCA qualification.

Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and finance field.

Understanding of accounting rules and procedures.

Experience in manufacturing plants is preferable.

An independent, proactive personality, possessing strong financial analytical and problem-solving skills.

Required skills: MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint). Experience in ERP system and e-invoicing systems.

Good command of English or Cantonese.
