We are in search of a dedicated and responsible team leader to oversee our team of drivers. In addition to safely and punctually chauffeuring the Director and their family members, the ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and management skills. They should excel in job planning and organization, as well as demonstrate capability in handling paperwork and administrative tasks.
Job Description:
- Manage and supervise a team of drivers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to company standards.
- Oversee driver scheduling and route planning to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands.
- Maintain compliance with road/traffic rules, transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Monitor driver performance metrics such as on-time delivery, fuel efficiency, and customer service, implementing improvement strategies as needed.
- Handle driver-related issues, including disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance reviews.
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and equipped for safe operation.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance transportation operations, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
- Perform other ad-hoc work as assigned by the Director.
Driver Role:
- Safely and punctually transport the Director to and from work and other designated locations.
- Drive the Director's family members, visitors, business partners, and associates to authorized destinations.
- Ensure the car is clean and sanitized at all times.
- Carry out routine inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good condition, and coordinate with the admin for renewals and management of road tax, insurance, etc., in consultation with the Director.
- Identify electrical and mechanical problems and carry out minor repairs and maintenance where necessary.
- Consider different routes, weather, and traffic reports to decide the best travel time and route, with proficiency in Waze/Google Maps.
- Safely keep receipts and records related to tolls, fuel, parking, repairs, and travel.
- Punctually adhere to attendance and timing schedules (clock-in & clock-out).
- Ensure passenger and vehicle safety, complying with all regulations.
- Support the Director with assigned tasks.
Job Requirements:
- At least SPM level qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of personal driving experience.
- Basic computer literacy; knowledge of Microsoft Office is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Leadership and team management skills; experience in leading is an advantage.
- Willingness to perform administrative tasks and paperwork.
- Strong knowledge of road/traffic rules, transportation regulations, and safety standards.
- Good automotive knowledge.
- Valid Class D driving license.
- Clean disciplinary record, no criminal or traffic offences.
- Familiarity with Klang Valley and Selangor roads; adept with Waze and Google Maps.
- Willing to work long hours, including weekends and outstation trips.
- Legal right to work in Malaysia.
- Honest, responsible, disciplined, punctual, and physically fit.
