Clinical Instructor for Nursing Programmes

Position Title: Clinical Instructor – Nursing Programmes

Location: Clinical placements across Malaysia

Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary:

The Clinical Instructor plays a vital role in guiding and supporting nursing students during their clinical placements. This role involves accompanying students to affiliated hospitals and clinics, supervising their practical training, and ensuring their professional and personal well-being throughout the placement period.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accompany and supervise students during clinical placements in hospitals and healthcare facilities across Malaysia (may require rotation between states)
  2. Coach and assess students on nursing procedures and practical competencies at clinical sites.
  3. Monitor and evaluate student performance through regular checks of clinical logbooks and assessment forms.
  4. Provide continuous feedback and hands-on guidance to students in executing clinical tasks.
  5. Ensure students maintain professionalism, discipline, and safety during placements.
  6. Act as a liaison between the institution and clinical site personnel to coordinate student rotations and address any arising issues.
  7. Support the mental and physical well-being of students during clinical postings, addressing any concerns or emergencies.
  8. Prepare reports and documentation related to student progress and placement performance.

Requirements:

  1. Registered Nurse with a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) from the Malaysian Nursing Board.
  2. Minimum Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is an advantage.
  3. Fresh Graduates and retirees are welcome to apply.
  4. Willingness to travel and stay overnight for outstation placements.
  5. Excellent interpersonal, mentoring, and organizational skills.
