Job Description:
Major duties and responsibilities
- Establishment and Achievement of Objectives: Understand inkjet and personal auto sales goals and assist the manager in establishing a business plan. Coordinate efforts to fulfill quarterly and annual objectives. Reassess objectives and obstacles with the manager as necessary. Achieve annual sales targets and objectives.
- Sales and Marketing: Learn and apply business unit marketing policies, procedures, and plans. Utilize the selling process to achieve sales results. Demonstrate knowledge and use of social selling tools to connect with large format inkjet and personal auto industry customers. Train external customers on product applications. Promote CBTD products in Malaysia. Provide sales support services to customers and distributors as appropriate. Understand individual product value propositions. Report market conditions, competitor activities, and product performance to supervisors.
- Coordination and Planning: Learn to plan and manage time and resources for effective territory coverage, communication, and responsibilities. Work within budget guidelines. Coordinate with other functions to complete tasks.
- Administration: Maintain and communicate account and prospect information, and manage company resources and sales support materials.
- Leadership: Develop relationships with accounts and prospects. Accept direction as needed.
- Development: Continuously learn and improve skills related to the market, products, selling, presentation, communication, administrative tasks, and other areas.
- Policy: Learn and apply the sales policies, practices, and procedures of the business unit.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree; background in business, marketing, large format inkjet, or personal auto is an advantage.
- At least 3 years of B2B sales experience.
- Strong selling, influencing, communication, listening, interpersonal, negotiating, presentation, planning, administrative, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with computers, including basic PC software, SFDC, SAP.
- Basic understanding of large format inkjet and personal auto product lines, customer segments, and competitive landscape. Able to adapt behavior to changing environments to achieve goals.
- Ability to analyze information and determine the best solutions based on prior experience. Represent the company in accordance with 3M’s conduct code and expectations.
