Job description

The primary responsibility is to serve as a strategic support partner to the business unit and Group Finance, overseeing the full spectrum of financial and related functions including financial operations, internal controls, and regulatory compliance in financial reporting and taxation, as assigned by the Group.

Job Scope
  1. Oversee the full spectrum of accounting functions related to Group reporting and the assigned portfolio, which may evolve in line with the Group's growth strategy.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate group-wide financial reporting to Management and stakeholders, including reviewing variance analysis, highlighting areas of concern to close the expectation gap, and providing a platform for prompt corrective actions when negative variances arise.
  3. Oversee group consolidation processes, including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  4. Perform financial analysis to support Management’s decision-making, providing relevant insights into financial trends, ratios, and other key analyses.
  5. Coordinate the filing of statutory financial reports for all companies within the Group, ensuring compliance to avoid penalties due to late filings or reporting irregularities.
  6. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies regarding financial reporting matters.
  7. Assist in managing and optimizing the Group’s financial consolidation and reporting systems, including continuous improvement of the SAP system.
  8. Supervise and coach subordinates in their daily accounting and finance responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies.
Qualifications
  1. Degree in Accounting/Finance and/or Professional qualification from a recognized accountancy body.
  2. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  3. Experience in handling Property Development Accounts and proficiency in SAP is an added advantage.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
