Job Summary

The Service Engineer is responsible for carrying out after-sales field service jobs including testing & commissioning, servicing, troubleshooting, and overhaul of Ingersoll Rand’s compressed air equipment at installed bases. He/she will require technical knowledge of compressed air systems, customer orientation, and a strong ownership mindset to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and rectification on compressed air systems at various commercial and industrial establishments.
  • Conduct site and classroom training to customers on compressed air systems.
  • Recommend necessary actions to improve the efficiency and reliability of customer’s compressed air system.
  • Write general service reports for internal and external customers.
  • Document and prepare field service quality reports. If there are quality problems, feedback specific product defects to the production department and assist customers in taking corrective measures.

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with strong field service experience in compressed air systems and PLC panel programming or related.
