Assistant Accounts Manager will manage the finance function and be responsible for account processing, monthly closing activities, reporting, analysis of financial information, and assisting in audit activities to ensure compliance with financial standards and regulations. In addition, the role involves partnering with business leaders to drive and grow the business.

The role reports to the GM of the business unit with a dotted line to the Group Reporting Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Handle the full set of accounts and all aspects of monthly financial/management reporting.
  2. Manage cash flow projections, ensuring sufficient funds for ongoing operations.
  3. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to ensure timely and accurate transactions and record-keeping.
  4. Ensure compliance with local taxes, including SST, withholding tax, and corporate income tax submissions.
  5. Assist in developing and monitoring the annual budget.
  6. Prepare year-end reports for audits and tax schedules.
  7. Support business with financial performance analysis, such as project profitability.
  8. Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting. Professional qualifications like ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, CPA, MIA, etc., are advantageous.
  9. Minimum 5 years of experience handling full set accounts.
  10. Strong fundamental accounting knowledge.
  11. Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  12. Analytical mindset with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  13. Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders.
  14. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  15. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
