Job summary

A leading chemical company in Malaysia is seeking a full-time engineering professional to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least one year of relevant experience. Responsibilities include managing spare parts inventory, conducting inspections, and maintaining engineering documentation.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate with Managers or Executives to execute all EWOs generated (Defect, Breakdown, Preventive Maintenance).
  2. Ensure the availability of spare parts for all plant equipment in the engineering store and conduct spare parts inventory audits at least twice a year.
  3. Validate and coordinate with Maintenance Managers for all relevant inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements. Inspection records/log books shall be maintained, updated, and made available upon request.
  4. Update and validate calibration requirements for plant and portable equipment annually. Calibration certificates shall be available upon request.
  5. Ensure the timely completion of all EWOs time confirmations, PR, MIRO, MIGO closing on a monthly basis.
  6. Liaise with the Procurement Department regarding material and spare parts requirements, follow up, and provide updates to managers and executives on order status.
  7. Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards in the Mechanical Department to reduce risks to personnel and equipment, ensuring adherence by subordinates and contractors.
  8. Maintain and validate all engineering reports and documents to fulfill relevant standards and audits.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Diploma Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Manufacturing Engineering.
