Job description

A Technical Support Engineer Level III is responsible for proactively responding to the technical challenges and requirements for customers within Managed Services environments. The Managed Services department is primarily focused on delivering the whole solutions lifecycle, including presales, design, implementation, support, maintenance, and decommissioning of data center solutions to ensure business continuity for all customers. This role involves collaboration with other members of the managed services and technical teams in implementing and supporting solutions for both new and existing customers.

What you’ll be doing:
  1. Assisting sales account managers with presales expertise to deliver solutions aligned with customer needs.
  2. Designing and delivering support and service solutions for managed services customers, following industry best practices to ensure continual service improvement throughout the service lifecycle.
  3. Providing technical project management services.
  4. Collaborating with EOC Engagement Managers to ensure seamless migration and transition of new customers into the managed service environment.
  5. Implementing new and refreshed managed service solutions for hosted customer environments.
  6. Monitoring, managing, and improving managed service environments by identifying and resolving root causes of issues to ensure continuous service availability.
  7. Striving for continual service improvement to become a world-class managed service provider.
  8. Contributing proactively to new service development.
  9. Fostering a high-performance team culture focused on teamwork, service excellence, and ownership in resolving customer issues.
  10. Ensuring operational procedures and practices are well-defined, documented, and consistently applied.
  11. Maintaining up-to-date documentation for all service arrangements.
  12. Performing other duties as assigned.
What we’re looking for:
  1. At least 5 years of experience deploying, configuring, managing, upgrading, and troubleshooting VMware vSphere, including ESXi and vCenter Server, with experience in:
    • Virtual machine and storage vMotion
    • Datastore provisioning and management
    • Virtual networking, including standard and distributed switch management
    • ESXi storage connectivity, including iSCSI and fiber channel
    • Cluster High Availability and VM Fault Tolerance
    • Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) and Storage DRS
    • Host profiles
    • VMware vCenter Enhanced Linked Mode
    • PowerCLI
  2. Experience deploying, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting additional VMware products such as VMware Update Manager, vSAN, Site Recovery Manager, and replication.
  3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a 2nd or 3rd line support or administration role, mainly within virtual data center services and infrastructure.
  4. Strong technical understanding of datacenter technologies including storage, backup, disaster recovery, and security.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex technical situations.
  6. Experience in technical project management and producing detailed technical designs and documentation.
  7. Proficiency in delivering technical presentations and conducting customer workshops.
  8. Fluent in English.
