Job description

What Will You Do?

As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure compliance, monitor accounts, and assist with financial reporting for our properties. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring our hotels operate efficiently while delivering an excellent guest experience.
  2. Managing daily financial activities, including cash flow, site revenue, sales ledger, and payments, in collaboration with centralized accounts payable and receivable.
  3. Providing expert advice to help others meet their goals and raising financial awareness across the hotels.
  4. Overseeing financial processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  5. Ensuring timely closing of monthly accounts and preparing management reports.
  6. Leading, mentoring, and developing your team to foster a supportive environment.
  7. Assisting in creating accurate budgets and monitoring performance against them.
  8. Reconciling tax filings and payments with government agencies.
  9. Analyzing financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  10. Liaising with bankers, auditors, tax agents, and legal advisors.
  11. Collaborating with other departments to resolve operational issues.
  12. Preparing ad hoc reports for management.
  13. Performing any additional tasks assigned by your supervisor or management.

Who Must You Be?

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A relevant qualification such as a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or higher in Finance, Accountancy, or Banking.
  • Between 4-6 years of experience, including 3-5 years in hotel finance and at least 1 year in a managerial role.
  • Experience with finance setup and hotel/F&B systems (PMS, reservations, POS) is advantageous.
  • A balanced approach combining methodical processes with flexibility and creativity.
  • A passion for hospitality and a desire to create memorable experiences.
  • Proactive communication, feedback, and process improvement skills.
  • A humble attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to try new approaches.
