Job Summary

The IT Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to the sales team by analyzing customer requirements, designing suitable solutions, and presenting technical proposals. This role bridges the gap between technical solutions and customer needs, ensuring seamless product demonstrations and implementation discussions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and propose appropriate IT solutions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept sessions for prospective clients.
  • Design and recommend IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, or software solutions based on client needs.
  • Prepare detailed technical proposals, RFP responses, and solution documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales and technical teams, ensuring accurate communication of client requirements.
  • Provide technical consultation and recommendations on hardware, software, and networking solutions.
  • Support post-sales deployment and implementation to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to enhance solution positioning.
  • Assist in developing sales collateral, case studies, and whitepapers.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT pre-sales, solution design, or technical sales roles.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, networking, cybersecurity, and enterprise software solutions.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple and compelling solutions for clients.
  • Experience in preparing RFPs, RFQs, and other sales-related documentation.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT solutions from vendors such as Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, or VMware is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Certification in relevant IT solutions (e.g., CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, ITIL) is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with IT system architecture and solution integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build strong client relationships.
