Purpose and Scope

We seek an ambitious, self-driven Logistics Manager with a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management, including logistics, transportation procedures, CTM (Control Tower Management), and carrier/service provider management (SSL, brokerage, forwarders). Knowledge of safety protocols and legal regulations is essential to ensure the secure and compliant handling of shipments. The role involves developing efficient inbound and outbound freight logistics, optimizing transportation operations for cost and efficiency, and enhancing customer experience through reliable carrier solutions and delivery options.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Plan, implement, and manage transportation and distribution strategies to ensure secure, accurate, and timely logistics processes.
2. Identify freight savings opportunities, implement process improvements, and monitor results.
3. Resolve transportation issues promptly and effectively.
4. Maintain knowledge of carrier rates and services to support business needs.
5. Hold service providers accountable for performance standards.
6. Analyze costs and processes to make informed decisions, managing expenses within budgets.
7. Support international growth by developing innovative delivery solutions.
8. Serve as the primary logistics contact for Dexcom Malaysia, managing carrier relations and performance metrics.
9. Lead meetings with cross-functional teams and service providers to drive results.
10. Create reports and presentations to analyze expenses, trends, and performance metrics.
11. Lead process improvements in transportation, warehousing, and distribution center operations.
12. Support IT system development related to logistics.
13. Prioritize expense management and customer experience in decision-making.
14. Collaborate with senior management on service provider selection.
15. Ensure proper documentation for logistics and transportation audits.
16. Develop and track KPIs to monitor logistics performance.
17. Establish policies and procedures to improve transportation efficiency while maintaining quality.
18. Report on manufacturing and logistics performance metrics to leadership.
19. Manage local and international shipments using a network of customs brokers and service providers.

Qualifications and Experience

1. University degree in supply chain, logistics, transportation, or related fields.
2. 7-10 years of management experience in operations and transportation.
3. Experience in network strategy and risk management.
4. Proven management and team-building skills.
5. Knowledge of logistics procedures and documentation.
6. Ability to develop standard operating procedures and technical reports.
7. Experience in planning and managing logistics, warehouse, and customer service operations.
8. Skilled in negotiating with carriers and service providers.
